Growing up with cameras

Photography started the first year I was born and dad got a camera. We all got used to him taking pictures of the family. He made home movies, an influence which led to studying filmmaking at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and then the San Francisco Art Institute. Still photography has always been a ready skill.

When I learned Adobe Photoshop in 1995 it was exhilarating. The amazing things one can do with images in a computer would have been total science fiction to my film class in New York 28 years ago! Like my father said - "Russell R., you have always been good with a camera." Which helped me to redirect my life from a career in electronics and back into art. Thanks dad. Please enjoy this tour through my life. I hope you find something that resonates with you.
